Currently loving the new Black Emerald material. Think it's a sleeping giant. ”

Album Launch Show.

It is with immense pleasure that we can announce the release of our first album "Hell Can't Handle All Of Us." We held a hometown launch party for the album at the Facebar, where we played the whole album in full for the very first time. Support came in the form of our good friends Thirty Giants from Brighton, Gutlocker – Craig McBrearty provides guest vocals on "Life of Anxiety" and RemnantAndy Gunn guests on "Voodoo Princess." The album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Matt Bew and James Billinge of Whitehouse Studios - we are very proud of the album and are very excited to share our work with you. Please see the Store to purchase a copy.

One For The Road

"Hailing from Reading, England, a place known for its massive music festivals and not taking any B.S. in their music, enter Black Emerald."

We are a three-piece band sporting influences ranging from hard rock, thrash, doom, southern and progressive metal.  Coming from the scruffiest depths of Reading our progressive, stoner and thrash sound shows that the ways of old school are far from dead, matching crushing hard rock riffs with a hard driving and energetic live show.

We like to be out on the road as much as possible and have played all over the Midlands, South Wales and SE England. Last autumn we played two dates for the Rock Diabetes Charity: the warm-up gig Stoking The Fire  and the Fire and Forge Festival in Trowbridge. We were also stoked to play the first ever Facebarmageddon event in Reading in December supporting Divine Chaos. This March we are heading out on the Spreading The Fire Tour - see our events page for more details.
